I am intrigued and inspired by nature's beauty. Being an avid gardener and experiencing the renewal of life each spring, i take from this and create in my work, my own interpretation of the emergence of life. My most recent work takes inspiration from mythology and folklore, aquatic life, and whimsy. I take impression from children's discarded toys and incorporate them into my sculptural pieces, creating imaginative creatures. Clay, as a medium, provides endless possibilities. The form, texture, and colorants; always something new to explore. Always the challenge of how far to push, pull and the ability to know when you have achieved it's limits. My belief is put beautifully by Henry Moore:

"The secret of life is to have a task, something you devote your life to, something you bring everything to, every minute of the day for the rest of your life. And the most important thing is, it has to be something you cannot possibly do."
